Victor Narro

Victor Narro, a project director with the UCLA Labor Center and a core faculty member for the UCLA Labor Studies Department and for the Public Interest Law and Policy Program of UCLA School of Law, is an expert on the workplace rights of immigrant workers and immigration policy. Narro’s work has included studies of street vendors, agricultural workers and the garment industry, among other topics.

A former labor organizer, Narro taught a UCLA course on the United Farm Workers movement. Narro was formerly the co-executive director of Sweatshop Watch. Prior to that, he was the workers’ rights project director for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), where he was involved with organizing day laborers, domestic workers, garment workers and gardeners.
