Professor or electrical engineering Jason Cong and co-authors Louis-Noel Pouchet, Peng Zhang and P. Sadayappan received the Best Paper Award at the 21st Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)/SIGDA International Symposium on Field Programmable Gate Arrays in February. "Polyhedral-Based Data Reuse Optimization for Configurable Computing" was published in February of this year by ACM Press.
 
Cong’s research interests include computer-aided design of VLSI circuits and systems, computer architectures, nano-systems, and highly scalable algorithms. He has published over 300 research papers and led over 50 research projects in these areas, including five previous best paper awards.
