Given the confidentiality that governs UCLA’s student conduct process, the university will not discuss specific cases in order to protect our students’ privacy.

In general, however, appeals of interim suspensions imposed by UCLA are heard by the associate vice chancellor for student and campus life. It is the associate vice chancellor alone who makes a decision on whether to lift or uphold a student's interim suspension. For a complete explanation of UCLA's policy on interim suspensions, please refer to section IV-A of the Student Conduct Code (pg. 30): http://ucla.in/ZMHqMh.

UCLA’s chief priority is to ensure that the student conduct process is allowed to proceed without premature public influence, and it is guided by the need to protect student confidentiality. The campus is confident that procedures outlined in the Student Conduct Code are being followed.
