UCLA’s leader begins his tenure as the university’s seventh chancellor.

The chancellor’s ‘students first’ message resounded with those attending the Illuminate Conference Jan. 30.

The chancellor will hold a series of UCLA Connects: Listening Exercise conversations with the Bruin community beginning in early February.

Noriega, currently a distinguished professor at the school, will begin his tenure Feb. 1 and serve until June 30 — or until a permanent dean is appointed.
