This is the fourth year in a row — and the eighth time in the last 12 years — the program has earned top honors in the "Best Online Programs" survey.

This marks the seventh time in 11 years that the program has earned the top spot in U.S. News & World Report’s annual survey.

As we head into the holidays and prepare to usher in 2025, Newsroom takes a look back at the accomplishments of the Bruin community and the highlights of 2024.

With another top ranking from U.S. News & World Report, the campus continues to redefine what it means to be a great public institution.

Fifteen of the campus’s academic programs and specialties were also ranked in the top 10 nationwide.

This is the second year in a row — and the sixth time in past 10 years — that the program has held the top spot in U.S. News’ annual survey.

It’s that time again — an opportunity to take stock of a year filled with awe-inspiring achievements and more than a few surprises, and to celebrate the accomplishments of our entire Bruin community.

The campus also earned top marks in social mobility and educating military veterans in U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Colleges” rankings.

The program has awarded nearly 1,400 degrees since its inception in 2007.

The first UC to guarantee on-campus housing for all undergraduates. Studying hate. NCAA championship in women’s soccer. “Sweater weather” on the moon. What a year.

Campus excellence is also rooted in efforts that go beyond the rankings, including being the only campus in the UC system to guarantee housing to all undergraduates.

The Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center also received a perfect score and the designation of “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader.”

The recognition comes from the U.S. News & World Report’s most recent graduate school rankings.

U.S. News & World Report also rates the online engineering program as the best in the nation among public universities.

Professors continued helping us better understand our world with their research, students kept excelling and UCLA showed how it helps make Los Angeles a world-class city.

No. 1 for community college transfer students, veterans and even college food.

Since Gene Block became chancellor in 2007, UCLA has risen from the No. 4 public university to the top of the U.S. News rankings.

U.S. News & World Report named UCLA among the top 10 in 12 different medical specialties.

“It’s always wonderful to see UCLA recognized nationally, but it’s especially heartening at this challenging time,” Chancellor Gene Block said.

For 31 consecutive years, UCLA has earned a spot on the U.S. News & World Report national honor roll for providing the highest quality care.

U.S. News & World Report has recognized the hospital for its national excellence in seven pediatric specialties.

The UCLA graduate fine arts programs have consistently been ranked among the top programs in the country by U.S. News.

Since 2014, the program has consistently been ranked first or second in the country.

The publication ranked more than 1,300 of the world’s leading research-intensive universities in 92 countries.
