Mary Osako, UCLA vice chancellor for strategic communications, said:
“The union is directing its members to walk off the job. What they’re really doing is telling people to walk out on students who have paid tuition fees to learn, and right before finals when students need their teachers most. UCLA’s focus is doing whatever we can to support our talented students.”
