Students on The Hill swapped hundreds of books, clothes, electronic items and more during the End-of-Year Exchange at DeNeve Plaza last Saturday afternoon. Sponsored by the On-Campus Housing Council, a student organization, the event was the idea of Tristan Joseph, a second-year student who wanted to get rid of stuff he no longer needed and thought his neighbors in the residence halls might like to do the same.About 100 students participated, along with campus representatives of the Disney College Program who gave away raffle prizes and distributed hundreds of free moving boxes in preparation for move-out later this month. Items that didn't find new homes were donated to Goodwill.
Council president Ariana Gobaud said the event was a good start for a program that could be expanded next year.
