“MAESTRA” is a 33-minute documentary that explores the experience of nine women in Havana, Cuba, who, as young girls, taught in the Cuban Literacy Campaign of 1961, a movement that changed the nation.

March 4: 'Telethon' at the Hammer

Inspired by experimental performances of the 1960s, “TELETHON” is a participatory performance staged in front of a live audience, who will hear the sounds of dial tones, ringing, voicemail and voices asking about feminism.

March 1: Standing tall for tribal rights
